Are you stir crazy yet, friends? If you're itching to get out on the streets once more, now's your time! Most avenues to Antoni's are clear, and all that's missing is you. We're a different kind of stir crazy - stirring crazily, that is - as we prepare for an onslaught of guests who haven't been out in a few days.
This weekend we have a simple, easy meal for you to get reacquainted with life out of doors again. Grouper is always a win, with a firm, flaky texture perfectly paired with a white wine butter sauce to make it even more succulent. Our cacio e pepe, which is always available as a side on our regular menu, gives it just the right kick with black pepper and aged Romano cheese. Add on the delicious grilled flavor of fresh asparagus you've got a meal worth venturing out for. I recommend trying a nice bottle of Ceretto Arneis with this dish, a perfect lightly acidic balance to the meal.
We certainly hope you enjoyed your snow days as much as possible. On our end of town, the scene was rather magical, and we couldn't get over the size of the snowflakes! As my sister-in-law would say, the snow was here for a good time, not a long time, so I did my best to appreciate it while I could. Speaking of family, those of you who came out last Saturday may have noticed my absence, as I travelled to Houston to take part in the Houston Half Marathon
with my brothers. It was a special experience to all run the race together, which we've never done before - but boy was it cold! Nevertheless, we all finished and were still smiling after.
So, as the snow melts and the streets clear up, we eagerly await your return to Antoni's. Whether you're craving our delicious grouper or just looking for a warm and welcoming place to reconnect, we've got you covered. See you soon!
