FROM THE OWNERS
Feeling blue? đ§ïž We get it. For many, August is a time of new routines, itâs still hot, and fallâs just not quite here yet. Escaping from the heat means our June beach-ready bodies have, perhaps, some evidence of indulgence? đđż That extra hot dog from July 4th, the movie popcorn from Inside Out 2?
Well, we see you, we love you, and we are here to help. This weekend, we have another amazing special that allows you to indulge without so many extra calories. đ
Enter our fresh grilled halibut, with a generous helping of colorful vegetables. The roasted spaghetti squash has a delicate sweetness that offsets the light char of the fish - and alongside the crunchy shallots and green beans, itâs pure heaven. Now, of course, we throw in a little richness for good measure with the thyme and sherry pan sauce. Altogether, this dish is rustic and light, providing a sense of value without having to loosen your belt strap. đœïž
Pairing your meal with wine is the essence of the Italian food and wine experience. With this dish we recommend our Mastroberardino Falanghina, which boasts Old World minerality, bright acidity, and citrus. However, there is also a smoky earthiness can be challenging for some - ask your server for a taste! Paired with the special, itâs an excellent match to complement the delicate nature of the fish and cherry tomatoes, while enhancing the squash and shallots with subtle mineral and floral notes.
For a red wine selection, try our Viberti Barbera dâAlba, which is a light red wine from the Piedmont region that wonât overpower the fish but will provide a nice contrast to the sweetness in the cherry tomatoes. đ·
Venture into our Blu Room Friday and Saturday for a double dose of jazz that will smooth out your weekly woes. đ· If you remember Modern Jazz Movement from the early 2000s, the boys are back this Saturday for a reunion full of jazz standards and good vibes. Friday night, we have some funky improv tunes provided by the Avery Cohen Trio.
So, why wait? Turn that frown upside down and join us for a weekend of great food, fine wine, and soulful tunes. See you there! đđ¶
